G H K copper opens our skin, hair, and pigmentation collection.

In nineteen seventy-three, Loren Pickart and Michael Thaler reported a peptide from human blood serum. Its origins lie at the University of California, San Francisco, in the United States.

That is more than fifty years of research history. By nineteen eighty-eight, scientists were studying its copper complex in collagen-producing cells.

G H K contains three amino acids: glycine, histidine, and lysine. It binds copper. Collagen helps give skin structure. Laboratory studies found increased collagen production, but cells in a dish cannot show how well a skin treatment works in people.

In a randomized study published in two thousand six, thirteen people completed follow-up after laser resurfacing. Copper-peptide skin care showed no clear added benefit for redness or wrinkles, although patient satisfaction was higher.

A small twenty twenty-six report in eighteen people found improved eyebrow hair count and thickness after twelve weeks, compared with the opposite eyebrow receiving the comparison serum.

Both studies were small. The FDA flags possible immune reactions and impurities with compounded injections. Topical findings cannot establish injection safety.

Its long history is a starting point. Judge each claim by the product, the people, and the outcome studied.
