Accessibility

The Peptide Project is designed toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a target framework. We treat accessibility as a core institutional requirement — consistent with our commitment to being usable by researchers, clinicians, educators, journalists, policymakers, and the public for generations — not as a late addition.

We are designed toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA and are pending comprehensive manual and assistive-technology evaluation. Semantic structure, keyboard operability, and focus management have been implemented and reviewed in code; browser-based and assistive-technology testing (screen readers, zoom, reduced motion, color-contrast measurement) has not yet been performed.

• Screen-reader and assistive-technology testing has not yet been performed.
• Color-contrast ratios have been reviewed against design tokens, not measured with real rendering.
• Browser zoom and reflow at 200%/400% have not yet been tested in a real browser.
• Some administrative interfaces (used only by trained staff, not the public) have received a lighter review pass than public-facing pages.

Please describe what you were trying to do, what happened, and what browser, device, or assistive technology you were using — you do not need to share any medical or health information to report a problem.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports and prioritize fixes using the same severity framework we use internally: issues that block access to a core function (submitting an observation, reading the archive, authenticating) are treated as our highest priority.
