Our Charter

This page summarizes a proposed founding document describing why the World Peptide Foundation exists and the standing constraints it is being built to follow. Formal adoption remains pending, so these provisions are presented as proposed commitments rather than an already adopted corporate governance instrument.

Formal adoption is pending. This Charter has been drafted and is the governing framework the organization is building toward, but it has not yet been formally adopted through the deliberate governance action the Charter itself requires. We're stating this plainly rather than presenting a draft as if it were already in force.

Name and nature

The proposed Charter would establish World Peptide Foundation as a non-commercial, public-interest scientific and educational organization. Scientific and editorial independence are founding principles the organization is operating toward; formal institutional adoption and permanent governance remain pending.

Mission

To responsibly preserve and organize the world's observational knowledge regarding peptide use, while clearly distinguishing observation from scientific evidence.

Vision

To become a globally trusted public-interest resource for peptide research intelligence and observational knowledge — a permanent public resource that remains valuable to researchers, clinicians, educators, journalists, policymakers, and the public for generations.

Purpose

We do not exist to persuade, advocate, promote peptides, market products, compete with pharmaceutical companies, or replace physicians or scientific research. We exist to preserve observational knowledge responsibly, and to teach people how to interpret that information honestly.

The four pillars

Everything the organization builds, publishes, or governs traces back to one of four permanent pillars:

Observation — collecting structured observational reports using transparent, versioned methodology.
Preservation — protecting those observations for decades, and treating the archive as a library would, not as a database.
Interpretation — helping readers understand uncertainty, limitations, and how to reason about self-reported data.
Evidence — comparing observational patterns with published scientific literature while keeping the two visibly separate.

Foundational commitments

Collect only anonymous, self-reported observations.
Never diagnose, treat, prescribe, or provide individualized medical advice.
Never recommend dosages, administration methods, suppliers, or purchasing sources.
Never claim that observations establish causation.
Treat published research and regulatory review as more reliable for safety and effectiveness.
Publish methodology and material changes with version history.
Correct errors publicly and never through silent edits.
Accept no funding from peptide manufacturers, distributors, or sellers.
Protect contributor anonymity as a condition of the archive's existence.
Welcome scrutiny of the organization's methods.

Amendment

This Charter may only be amended through deliberate governance action, documented rationale, review, approval, version history, and public disclosure.

Succession

If World Peptide Foundation can no longer operate, its governing body intends to preserve the de-identified aggregate observational record through an appropriate successor institution. The legal mechanism, trigger conditions, and designated successor have not yet been formally adopted. This expresses institutional intent, not an already executable governance mechanism.
